Pre-race inspection for the Instacart 500 NASCAXR Cup Series race took place on Saturday and will result with multiple entries being dropped to the back of the field.
The cars of No. 5 Kyle Larson, No. 24 William Byron, and No. 51 Cody Ware each failed inspection twice and will move to the back of the field.
Coming off a win at Las Vegas, Larson was scheduled to start second. Byron was slated to start 10th and Ware 31st.
Garrett Smithley will replace J.J. Yeley in the No. 53 Chevrolet of Rick Ware Racing which will result in that car also moving to the back.
