Coronavirus – Main Sporting events that got cancelled because of COVID-19

The global pandemic, Coronavirus, has led to the postponing or the cancellation of many-many sports events. According to the reports, we are listing below some cancelled/postponed sporting events of 2020.

Football

  1. Scheduled between 4th to 7th June, CONCACAF Nations League Finals that were supposed to be conducted in Texas’s Houston and Dallas have been suspended. Countries like the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Honduras were contesting in it.

There will be no Formula One races till the mid of June at least.

  3. The Olympic Games’ world qualifying boxing tournaments of the America and Europe have been suspended.

Basketball

  1. National Basketball Association has postponed the season until further notice.
  2. WNBA draft will now be a virtual event. The draft will take place on the 17th of April, but there’ll be no players, media, or fans.
  3. The regular season of 2020 has been postponed by WNBA.
