Ricky Romero is rebounding from a few down weeks at Triple-A.

After a dismal 2012 season the 28-year-old left hander failed to win a spot in the Blue Jays rotation this spring. He was subsequently optioned to the minors, save for two poor outings at the beginning of May.

On Wednesday night Romero pitched seven innings allowing just one unearned run on five hits and three walks. Romero struck out six in the outing against the Braves Triple-A affiliate Gwinnett.

Romero pitched well in his last outing as well going six innings allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out three. For the year Romero owns a 6.69 ERA as the league is hitting .306 against him.

Ricky Romero allowed just one (unearned) run over seven innings Wednesday at Triple-A Buffalo.

Romero tossed six scoreless innings last time out and has begun to settle down after a rocky first few weeks in the Buffalo rotation. The left-hander will try to work his way back up to the majors at some point this season.
