“Don’t blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots. Mark is a beast and will prove it when given a proper chance,” Edwards tweeted Monday night.
Now according to a report by CBSSports.com Jason La Canfora, the New York Jets attempted to trade for Edwards after they lost Santonio Holmes for the season but Seattle was not quite ready to deal Edwards at that time, and told the Jets that it would take” something significant” according to La Canfora.
The deal never happened even though Edwards did apologize for his rant. It will probably never happen but it does not mean Seattle is not feeling the pain now, especially after they waived Edwards this week.
