Paulie Harraka and Wauters Motorsports Part Ways Effective Immediately

Paulie Harraka and Wauters Motorsports have parted ways effective immediately.

Aric Almirola will be making his first appearance of 2012 in the Craftsman Truck Series driving the No.5 for Wauters Motorsports at Saturday nights Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

It is not much of a surprise that the two decided to part ways, as Harraka did not even drive for Wauters Motorsports the last two weekends for the races at Michigan and Bristol. The team decided to regroup instead.

Harraka’s rookie year has not been what any young driver would hope. In 11 starts, Harraka’s best finishes have been two seventeenth place finishes at Dover and Kentucky. He has been involved in many crashes this season. His four DNF’s on the season have come from wrecking.

Harraka is currently 22nd in drivers points, while the No. 5 is 24th in owners’ points at this point in the season.
