Elliott Sadler Green White Checkers to the win at the STP 300 in Chicagoland.

Elliott Sadler; driver of the #2 Richard Childress Racing Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet took the checkered flag today at the STP 300 Nationwide race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL.

Sadler, who had been under the weather the last few days stated that he was at about “60%” today and thanked his doctor for keeping him
hydrated.

With seven laps to go, Sam Hornish Jr. got into the back of Kyle Busch on the straightaway.
Kyle Busch on the radio was unhappy and told his crew to put a tire on so they didn’t lose a lap, which his Crew Chief replied “you dont have a door” Kyle then said his “day was over” and told the crew to “put the jack down” so that he could go to the garage.

Brandon Gaughan was also collected in the accident. Kyle Busch finished in 27th position.

This wreck is the one that brought out the caution and erased the large lead Sadler had over Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Sadler was able to hold off the pole sitter when they went for the green white checkered and came out with the victory.

Ricky Stenhouse finished in second place, followed by Justin Allgairer, Kenny Wallace, and Michael Annette to round out the top five.

Elliott Sadler has won three races this season and finished in the top ten 14 times.
Sadler is eleven points ahead of Austin Dillion for the Nationwide Championship.
