Kasey Kahne takes win at Loudon

Kasey Kahne, driver of the #5 Hendrick Farmer’s Chevrolet finds himself in Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. Kasey took the lead when the cars pitted on lap 235, and led the last 66 laps of the race. Kasey’s win puts him in the number 1 wild card spot with two wins for the Race for the Chase.

Kyle Busch started the race as the pole sitter but after being caught speeding down pit road, was never able to make it back up and finished in 16th place.

Denny Hamlin was the one to beat all afternoon. Denny led 151 of the 301 laps, when coming to the pits on lap 235 their was a mis communication between Denny and his crew chief, which led to Denny restarting in 13th position. Denny was able to make it up to 2nd place, bit couldn’t get the edge over Kasey Kahne.

The points leader, Matt Kenseth finished 13th, which puts him up 16 points ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kyle Busch holds the second wild card spot in 13th position in the points.
