Brian Pattie is set to be announced as the crew chief for the #15 Toyota Camry driven by Clint Bowyer. Bowyer will race for Michael Waltrip Racing in 2012 after spending his entire NASCAR career at Richard Childress Racing.
Pattie had previously been the crew chief for Juan Pablo Montoya at Earnhardt Ganassi but the pairing had failed to make the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase during their time together. Pattie lost his spot atop the pit box at EGR earlier this year and Chris Heroy, an engineer on the #5, was recently appointed to that post.
The #15 car will have sponsorship from 5 Hour Energy.
