Conway, ExtenZe enlarge 2012 schedule

The 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year is excited about 2012. That’s because driver Kevin Conway and sponsor ExtenZe  are planning to go big with a full slate of races.

“We’re definitely going to be back pretty much on a full-time basis. We’re getting all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed and hopefully will get something finalized and firmed up shortly.”

While Conway would not elaborate on what team he was planning to drive for next year he didn’t rule any out either. Conway has been start-and-parking cars for NEMCO Motorsports on a part time basis this year. The driver also said he may drive a Cup or Nationwide race at Texas or Phoenix but again would not hint at what team it would be for.

Conway has appeared in 3 Sprint Cup races this year for a total of 4 laps. Last season Conway competed in 28 Sprint Cup races split between Front Row Motorsports and Robby Gordon Motorsports.

Earlier this year he was involved in an altercation with Gordon while the two were in the mist of a lawsuit over sponsorship dollars from last season. Conway also had a lawsuit ongoing with Front Row Motorsports but both parties opted the drop their claims.
