The worst kept secret in NASCAR has been revealed. Elliott Sadler will run in a Nationwide ride supplied by Kevin Harvick Inc in 2011.

Sadler is currently running in the #19 car for Richard Petty Motorsports in the Sprint Cup Series but has ran some select races for KHI in a truck this season. Sadler won the truck race at Pocono earlier this year, a day before he was involved in a horrific accident which elected the engine of his car and left the driver sore.

Sadler had stated he didn’t expect to return to RPM next season and the organization had expressed a desire to go from four full time cars to two. Next season RPM is slated to run Marcos Ambose in the #9 and AJ Allmendinger in the #43.

Currently it is unknown what car number or who will sponsor the ride Sadler will compete in. KHI will serve as the Nationwide organization in 2011 for Richard Childress Racing who currently fields the #21.

Sadler has 3 Sprint Cup victories with the last one coming in 2004. He has  struggled in recent years to stay competitive having failed to score 10 or more top-10’s since the end of the 2005 season. Sadler has only one top-10 this season.

He has run 5 Nationwide events in the JR Motorsports #88 scoring a top-5 and two top-10’s. He has 5 Nationwide victories the last of which came in 1998. The 1998 season was his last full year in the Nationwide Series. Since then he has raced only a handful of events each year.
